PRODUCT SPECIFIC FAQs
How long does each Bamboo Electric Toothbrush head last?
Each Bamboo Electric Toothbrush head should last between 2-3 months depending on how firmly and how often you brush your teeth.
How do you dispose of used Bamboo Electric Toothbrush Heads?
The best way to dispose of your used Bamboo Electric Toothbrush heads is to use a pair of tweezers to first pull out the bristles, as they are made of Nylon. Then, split the brush head down the middle (start at the bottom where the cornstarch insert is) and remove the cornstarch insert. The bristles and the insert go in the trash and the main bamboo portion is 100% biodegradable.
What is the small plastic part in the toothbrush head made of?
The small insert in each bamboo toothbrush is made from cornstarch and Polypropylene, one of the safer plastics. This component is 60% biodegradable and ecologically superior to the plastics used in standard electric toothbrush heads.
Are the bristles biodegradable?
At this time, all toothbrush bristles are made of nylon and need to be disposed of in the trash. As we continue our research and efforts towards more and more sustainability in our products, we look forward to making updates to this and other features across the board.

Why should I use PearlBar Bamboo Electric Toothbrush Heads instead of regular plastic electric toothbrush heads?
Our PearlBar Bamboo Sonic Electric Toothbrush heads are more biodegradable than any other electric toothbrush head on the market today. After removing the 60% biodegradable cornstarch insert and disposing of the nylon bristles, you are left with a 100% biodegradeable bamboo piece that can be easily composted and will break down fully within 3-6 months. Check out this article on our blog for more information about the dangers of traditional electric toothbrush heads.
